Thanks, I plan on handling her again today sometime, so I'll see if she does it again. Maybe she was just scared since I weighed her that day.

Mine do tend to be a bit more bothered by a second handling session in the same day. To be honest sometimes I think my blue eyed leucistic is sick of the sight of me.

So, I handled her today and she pulsed a bit at the beginning, but after the first minute or so she was more interested in the goings on around her. She was very eager to look around, rub against my hands... and toward the end of our session she tried to make like a bandit toward my wrist. I think she might have been looking for warmth, but I'm not that comfortable yet! hahaha
So, I guess the pulsing thing really is a sign of fear or unhappiness.

I handle my Ghost maybe 2-3 times a week..he doesn't stress much any more and loves to explore. But more often than not,I leave him alone. I dnt want to annoy him.

    Re: Handling your ball questions
I try to not bother her more than 2-3 times a week...
and I don't bother the day she feeds, or 2-3 days afterwards either.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to feel if the snake is about to shed?
I just want to know if I'll be able to feel the difference in her skin when she's about to shed, that way I don't mess with her as much while she could be down a sense.

They tend to get sharper wrinkles when they bend during shed so you might feel those easily. I'd check around the neck area for those.

Also the scales can feel lifted so running your hand from back to front on the snakes belly it should catch a lot more.

Quite often my snakes tend to feel a little rough the week before a shed. That's my cue to bump the humidity up a notch
