    I agreed to take the female normal as well, not really sure what i'm gonna do with her..probably breed her and the lesser with my bee so i guess it's not that bad of an idea

    I've got lots of normal females, it's nice to have some diversity when producing your own holdbacks.

    how will i know if they have mites or not? would a quick check under their head and down their body be enough?

    Normals aren't any more likely to have mites then morphs, besides you should always quarantine anything you get anyway. I usually treat any new arrival for mites while in quarantine, whether I see any or not.
