he keeps tigers? thats awesome, but aint it illegal? try to get some pics of those tigers, and your snake. keeping it inside would help by making it easier to find if it got out to.

Yeah its legal, he claims he saved them from torture from some Circus ... One of his tigers got out, because one of his keepers didn't close the cage ... the tiger was found roaming on his land by the police ... and shot for no reason ... He is a famous actor from the 70s ... He is thinking about taking the police to court now, and I'll scan some pictures up of the tiger, and my snake as soon as possible.

Heres an article about it, ... http://www.cbc.ca/story/world/nation...ida040713.html

If you get the human heat pad and get it set for temps at surface to be 90-95 and then give him some type of hide on the other end ( cool) you shouldn't need a light. Use the red or black nighttime lights. A dayglow will stress out your bp. I would try and keep temps from dipping in the mid 70"s I try not to let mine sink below 78-79. It's best just to maintain temps. No need for a night drop.
As for using paper towels should be fine. When you use the heat pad or UTH you need to have a air gap under the tank to let excess heat escape. Maybe about 1/4" Check your temps and you may need to put some newspaper down between the bottom of the tank and the papertowels to make sure it doesn't get to hot.
On UTH it's good to hook them up to a thermostat so they don't get to hot.

Yes just leave a space for air , so no heat build up.
Most use human heating pads on Sterlites. ( the kind w/ no auto shut-off

You use the heat pad under the sterilite container, yes. Just make sure there's just a bit of room for air to flow between the heat pad and the plastic bottom of the sterilite. It'll probably take a while to set up temps and stuff, but after that, you're golden. :) You'll notice humidity is way easier to keep up in sterilites/rubbermaids. 8)

Edit: Damn...missed this page. Pfft...oh well, wasted post, lol. :P

What do you mean a bit of room between heat pad and sterilite, the heat pad clues to the bottom of the sterilite ...
