I am a boa person and I LOVE the proline cage. I got it in a 48x24x18. It does an awesome job of holding the heat and humidity (I live in the desert and it kept the humidity at 90% for the first week, I actually had to leave it open to dry!) and it's super easy to clean. I'm very happy with it.

I couldn't get the whole thing in the shot, but here it is:

And my boa really takes advantage of the height as well. I kind of wish I had gotten a taller one, but it's a good size. Anything shorter would have been harder to pull her out of.

I wouldn't go for a cage under 16" tall. I had my girl temporarily in a 421 by boaphile and it was hard taking her out of a 12" high cage.

Did you build this enclosure, or have someone build it for you? That is quite the nice setup.

    Caging??? Other noob questions.
I didn't build it, but I sure did upgrade it. It was for sale on a classified site.

Removed all heat lamps and Che's On timers, and put in a rhp and heat tape on a herpstat 2. Lined the inside with linoleum. Painted the outside.

Thanks for the ideas guys. One of these days I will find the perfect setup and get started. Been scoping out boas, but a few retics and burms have really caught my eye lately. So who knows what i will wind up with.
