And wow, someone agrees with me. And I have yet to even experience the loveliness that is the owning of a ball.

    How much do BP's Cost?
They would most likely know, but don't count on it. The best way so far to tell by yourself is the spurs at the vent. It's not a gaurantee, but for the most part it you have nice, curved, easy to see spurs you most likely have a male. The female's spurs are usually much smaller (key word "usually") than the males. Also check this link to a previous post on this matter.
Again, sexing by probing is the accurate way, but at-home sexing by visual indication can be done. Check out the male and female comparison at the bottom of the post and you can see that there is a pretty good difference between this male and female.........http://www.ball-pythons.net/index.ph...r=asc&start=15

maybe, if they are qualified, and probed it themselves, but normally, petstores dont

ive heard of taking it, and place your thumb at the cloaca and slide it down the scales, but dont like, dig your thumb into it, and you might be able to feel the hemipenes, and if you do, its a male, and if you dont, its a female, this isnt always truthful, so its just more of an educated guess, but i dont know how safe it is or not

We have popped a few, but I wouldn't recommend it, unless you have been taught the correct procedure.
I do recommend you bring any new animal into your home to the vet. Have the vet probe for you, you may also buy a set of probes and have the vet teach you how to properly use them.
And we have found, that pet stores usually do not know, unless they are a herp specialty store.
    Thanks
