Haaha! I've been gone all day! LoL! I agree - that is a kick butt enclosure. Where ever did you find that? Or did you make it? If you made it, please post how - might want to make me one. Or two. Or more.

    Nice snakes too! :gj:

Lol the enclosure is a Tenecor(recently went out of business) 400g acrylic aquarium turned on its side. I used cinder blocks as a stand because the custom metal stand is made for the tank sitting vertically. The tank retails for $6800.

Really the tank is for my 2 ref tail catfish and 1 pacu. Both cats are about 20lbs and over 2.5'. But the snakes popped up unexpectedly on a recent trip to the Serpentarium(much like my last two adult BCI's) so I made haste and set it up quickly.

It has 3 sections of 11" flexwatt, a dimmer with temps being closely monitored, my ambients in my house only typically change 1-2° and acrylic doesn't allow much heat transfer especially at 1" thick.

Still making new enclosures for all my snakes, and looking at a custom enclosure that will save me a ton of time. These enclosures are currently housing 3 Burms ranging from 12'-16' so it will be plenty big enough.

I made the lid/door out of 5/8" particle board painted with Rustoleum Painters touch Latex paint, and the viewing window is made of 1/2" thick bullet resistant(not proof lol) Lexan an the window is affixed on the inside using 12 screws with an overlap of 1.5".

The whole thing is held on using two 600lbs test ratchet straps.

Lol ya I'm trying to get up and running. My total is 7 snakes now. Three adult female BCI's, one adult male BCI, one baby BCI male, one baby BCI female, and one baby normal ball female.

We also have 3 breeder colonies of mice 3:1 and starting rabbits soon. Gotta do rats as well

Is that a cement mixing pan you're using for water? I saw those at Home Depot and my first thought was they would make an awesome snake hide and water container for my BCI's when they grow up.
