I recently spent a buttload of money on new fancy hides (those black ones are hard to get in Sweden, I had to get them shipped = expensive) and one of my snakes rather lie behind or on top of the hide than inside it, lol.
If your husbandry is okay then it is probably nothing wrong. I wouldn't worry about it :D
