That's what happens when you pair chondros. They breed like cornsnakes. The tough part is getting eggs to go full-term and getting babies mad enough to bite and eat. Good luck with the pair! Looks like you're on your way to success!

Aww!! It's a hallmark card!

Those are downright awesome snakes! Congrats on the pairing and best of luck with them!

That is SO cool! Gotta love nature and all its surprises, eh?

I really really love Smaug's coloration. When I get a GTP, I want one that looks just like her! Where did you get her, if I may ask?

I saw Smaug advertised here on BP.net, by someone that lives close to me. I already had a female and Pez was being shipped to me from Rockstar Reptiles in Washington State. I wasn't really looking for another GTP, but the price was right and no shipping! She came with a really nice cage setup too. I couldn't say no. I guess it was just meant to be.

Since this posting, Pez has also locked up with my original female, Puffers. He wasted no time. Within minutes they were tango-ing on the floor of the cage! I didn't expect they would do it on the floor, but they did. They have since moved to the perches and are still going at it.

Here's a photo of Puffers & Pez this morning after they moved to the perches and before they locked up again:

Puffers is a really large Biak.
Neither Puffers or Smaug have been mated before - and I'm new to all this myself. I hope the ride isn't too bumpy :rolleye2:

I've heard so many nightmares about the difficulty in feeding the young, I'm a little apprehensive and scared if they both lay eggs and they all hatch out.
I'm just glad to have all this support! Thanks!

If we get eggs, you'll be the first to know! :D
