Hey, why not get a male Yellow Anaconda? He loved the high 80's, specifically around 88ish, so 86 wouldn't be an issue and if you get one from a reliable breeder they're great.
Also I know this is in the boa thread, but what about GTP?

Both excellent ideas. I adore my 2 GTPs and will be getting more. They are incredible animals!
If you do consider one of the giant species, Burmese Pythons would also do well at those temps. Male Burms do not get to be HUGE like the females. They tend to max out around 10 ft. :gj:

I have a question, for a cooler home, i tend to keep mine around 68 degrees. I was thinking of dedicating a room just for snakes. Could a guy close off the vents in that room when the ac is on use flex watt on one side 76-80, and then flex watt on the basking side for even warmer temps? I am really interested in getting a snake, and am just doing research right now. Hopefully by spring i will be ready for something.

During the winter our house is about 65*F. The snake room has the vents closed off and we run a space heater on a t-stat to keep it at 76*F ambient, with each species getting a UTH (or heat tape in a rack) set appropriately for the hot spot. Summertime we run the AC at 78*F.
