Re: Unusual clutch
I see pastels too. There can be a lot of variation in morphs, even in the same clutch. This is a picture of two pewters I hatched out last year. Same genes, same parents, different look.

One of the last things to happen in incubation is for the babies to color up. When people cut the eggs a little too early they often look much lighter then they eventually will be. I'd say wait until they come out on their own, then you'll be able to see their true colors.
Congratulations by the way.

Re: Unusual clutch
don't know much about the blurry, but in order to produces a super pastel the pastel gene needs to be in both the male and female. hopefully they stay on the light side and you get yourself some nice pastels to hold back. don

Re: Unusual clutch
I didn't cut my first clutch until they pipped then I made a bigger hole for them and they crawled out right away some each day for three days. Well I let someone talk me into cutting this clutch on day 53 so I would know how each went, now none have even poked a head out and I feel like crap. I will never cut again I think they are liter because of premature cutting but they do have cool patterns and I'm still proud of them but I have that feeling like when you do something wrong and you know it. Hopefully all will be well and they will crawl out but I know which I prefer now and cutting isn't for me.

Re: Unusual clutch
You haven't done anything wrong bud, no reason to beat yourself up. They're all still in egg and healthy and will come out when they're ready, just keep the eggs clean and hydrated :)

Re: Unusual clutch
if you haven't yet. have some distilled water in your incubator. if you need to add a little to an egg, it will be at the same temp as the egg. don't want the egg sac drying on you. they should be pipping soon. I cut mine when the first one pips. good luck with them, don

Hmm, they should be pastels if the breeding was a pastel x normal. They look like pastels to me, I'm interested to see what they look like out though!

Re: Unusual clutch
They still aren't out I'm going to add some water to them, but I don't want to drown them should I only add it to the ones with their head down in the membrane? A couple look like they might come out soon but others are still in fluid
