Thats a tough one for me. I just like watching my girl eat. My wife even gets excited for feeding time and Orchid does put on a nice show though.

Yeah I like watching them eat too. My normal doesn't like an audience but my pastel doesn't mind. So I just feed my normal, walk away and go watch the pastel eat lol.

Fist thing you need to do is quit feeding him in a separate tub. This could be stressing him out when being moved to another tub to feed. You're actually increases your chances of getting bit.

Feeding in cage does not make your BP mean or aggressive. I think he feels threatened by the feeder and feels obligated to kill it because he doesn't feel secure so then he doesn't eat.

Again stop moving him when feeding, drop the mouse inside his tub or tank and just watch him till its dead then walk away. Snakes sometimes won't eat when you're watching them because they're at there most vulnerable point when eating.

His last meal I just dropped the rat in (then put the lid on and stood back) and he killed it but still waited a bit to actually eat it. Thanks again to everyone for their input. He's my first ball and I'm still kinda learning as I go. I'm not really worried about aggression, if he bites he bites. I'd rather avoid it of course but I'm not afraid or concerned at this point in time.
