That is the weird part the breeder is telling me that they most likley are Josie Het Albinos.

I am thinking that is too good to be true since they are a rare and expensive snake.

I have no clue. I like them as they are. Just trying to figure it out. I have a feeling that they are just het albino.

I have seen the pics on WOBP. That still does not tell the aspects that make the Josie stand out.

What are the distinguishing features of the Josie ball python?

No way in h e double hockey sticks are those Josies. I know Joe Ellis, the guy who breeds and originated Josies, and there is no possible way they are even close to being a Josie or even a het Josie. The guy is pulling your chain. He's trying to make plain old normal ball pythons into something they are not.

The one is a pastel, yes. The other two may or may not be het albino. Joe has crossed the Josie into a handful of other morphs, and there are a few people out there fortunate enough to have bought into his projects, but I am telling you if those things were even hatched in the same building as a Josie, I'd eat horse manure. Only the lowest of the low try to make a new snake owner believe they have something they don't. You have a pastel and two possible het albinos. Nothing more.

If the breeder told you they're Josies and they're so obviously not, I would not take his word that they're het albino, either. People have been trying to sell normals as 'het' anything for years and years. They prey on the inexperienced, leading to people coming on here with pictures of their 'het spider' they got off Craigslist. I would treat them as normals until when (or if) they prove out to be hets.

No one has bred a Josie to an Albino as of now. Well at least from my line. Hope this helps a little

Re: Please Help Confirm. These do not look normal to me.
    From the man himself.

If the breeder lied about them being josies, you can just about bet your bottom dollar that they're not het for albino, either. If they DO prove, count yourself lucky.

Craigslist can have some hidden treasures, but most of it is fools gold.

I thought it was too good to be true.

The part of this situation that was starting to get to me was that the breeder did not tell me this to get me to buy the snakes. I had already bought the snakes from another person that the breeder had sold them to. That person refered me to the breeder to get the info on when the snakes hatched and the pairings that produced them. That is when the breeder had advised that they may be Josie Het Albinos. I was not sure and figured that someone on this site would be able to identify and confirm based on the pics. I am however hoping that they are at least the Het Albinos. I am still interested in knowing what the distinguishing visual characteristics of the Josie ball are. The only part I can see from the pictures is the Busy Patterns and the lighter colors. If I am missing anything else please let me know. Based on the comments from everyone including those from the man himself Joe Ellis, I am convinced that these are not Josies. Thanks to all.
