Yes it has heat cable routed in over about 1/2 to 1/3 of the cage bottom
I used it with out any over head lamps and the floor of the hot side stayed 88-94 and the cool side was 78-80. Ozzy likes it warmer more like 80-83 besides for the time being it's right by the a/c vent so I wanted to make sure temps stayed warm. i am sure in the winter I wont need the lamps.
