It works the exact same both ways and infact this is how a lot of people get multi gene females that don't feel like breaking the bank with buying them.

Yes, the genetics work both ways. It just makes more economical sense to a breeder to spread the genes of a more diverse male around to several females than it does to add a single gene male's one gene to your already multi-gene females (unless it's a new crazy expensive morph I guess). Make sense?

I think what all of the replies are trying to say is that you will only get what you give. Sure, breeding a multi-gene male to a normal female will give you multiple morphs cheaply. However, you won't end up with any morphs with genes that you didn't start out with in your male in the first place. This is why everyone is recommending a small investment in a single gene female to add to your collection that you don't already have so you can diversify your results with your multi-gene male. Unless of course your goal is to end up with female animals of the male you already own, then breeding to a normal female makes sense.

    Hope this helps!

This is what I'm talking about, I am just starting and the only females I have besides normals are a pastel breeder and a 2012 spider. My buddy has a male lemon blast he will sell me for 250.00 and she is a year old all ready. This would JumpStart my breeding without spending a lot as I am just starting and my three clutches this season will give me my snake money.

    1.1 pastels, 1.0 lesser, 0.1 spider, 1.3 norm. 1.0 fire 0.1 RTB 0.0 sav. Mon.
