    the other breeder told me not to touch anything. and he made me feel like an irresponsible idiot- i don't want to do anything else to prove him right.

    one hour isn't that long, plus the egg tub will heat up a little slower than the incubator. it's another barrier from the heat

    I'm gonna go ahead and second the notion to return the temps to where they were. Like now. Going over on temp is worse than going under. I don't care who that other breeder his, tell him to shove it. It sounds like your babies are developing normally for a low temperature, just give them a few more weeks at the same temperature. If you spike it now you could cause developmental issues that might not have been there before, it will almost certainly do more harm than good.

    was set at 88 when i temped it it was at 80 by the temp gun which proved to be a few degrees off (i temped my mouth with it at 93 not the best test but the first thing i could think of) I changed the temp up 8 degrees before i tested my temp gun

    time is against you. you need to lower those temps back down. did this other breeder know that it was only around an hour?

    8 degree is a huge difference
