My male hadn't eaten in 5 months(1000g wall) and someone told me to try an all-black f/t rat. I did and he attacked it like it owed him money.
I don't understand exactly why it worked, but it did. The next week I tried another black and it refused....so I tried him on a white one that my others refused, and he took it. So maybe the black got him started again...maybe it was just his time to eat...who knows ?

So, I tried a few more times and nothing....and I decided to try something different. I waited 2 weeks this time, put her in a rub and dropped a smaller prey size in there for her, BAM she took it, after like 3 1/2 months!!!! I am happy as can be today, all my snakes are eating great and got some I already introduced together (I am an early season guy ;) ), normal x spider!!!! I will be praying to the odds gods as this will be his first time breeding!!!

    My experience:
My albino ball python stopped eating for a month and a half when she hit 600 grams. She hit 600 grams by the time she was 6 months old. Well she didn't eat for like 2 months. Now she's at 800 grams as I've been feeding her every 2 weeks. Her appetite is kicking in and she's turning 1 years old in 2 weeks. Strangely she wont anything bigger than weanling rats...

you need to go to petco and ask for some used gerbil bedding leave the live rat in a container with that gerbil bedding for 20 minutes then take the rat put it in a ziploc and swing him in a circle super fast for a minute that way the rat is dizzy and smelly like native ball python food.

I swear it works every time and make sure that your ball python does not get handled for a while before then or else she wont eat and make sure when you watch because if your feeding her live you have to watch keep a distance from her cage no loud noise or quick movements give it 5 minutes then take the rat out if she hasn't consumed it and try again in 5-10 days.
