    I've never fed my bp while she's been in shed....even less handle her just because she seems very skittish during that time.

    Just wait until she sheds, and try again. Chances are you snake will be hungry after that. It won't hurt any to wait.

    I've heard of people using a heating pad to thaw the rodent ( still in the plastic baggie ), or a bowl of warm water. I'm sure there are plenty of ways to do it, whichever you try just make sure you get the rodent completely thawed, and warm enough. The last place to finally thaw out is usually the head.

    I'd give him more time for his mouth to heal as well as time for his eyes to clear up. He's probably both sore and shy right now, and waiting a few more days won't hurt him.
