I might have the lavenders by next month as the guy says they are due to hatch in about 2 weeks.As far as the creamsickles i might have them next spring.I tried the candy canes about 2yrs back and they were eating great and then just died :irkd: .Tell Robin i will give her the first dibbs rights on a creamsickle if i produce any next season to go with FROSTY(:neener: :devilish: :devilish: ) to produce her own snowsickles;) .Yes i know i am picking on your teenager:partyon:

HAHA i didnt realize it was such an old post. I had been looking through all the old posts trying to find some info on how big corns needed to be to breed, and wasnt paying attention to the dates :P Looks like it really kicked the thread back off though, judging by how many new posts there are.

Corn snakes are capable at breeding at 18 months old(mine did last year).Its best for them to be at least 2yrs and about 3ft or so long,the longer the female is the better.In order to breed they have to be well fed and prepared for breeding time.Some cool them down before breeding,myself i do not.I hope this helps:)

Thanks for the input. One more thing though, what weight would you say to aim for in the female. I've read alot about other snakes and lizards needing to be certian weights as somewhat of a sign of being fed/healthy enough.

To tell you the truth thats the only thing i never have done is weigh any of my corn snake lol.I usually go by over all looks.My females are both around just under 3yrs old and they eat frozen thawed rat fuzzies every 7 to 10 days and absorb just about everything(very little poo).I feed them year round until they are gravid and they decide to stop eating.By me doing this i think that why one female(silver queen) double clutched and my snow female triple clutched this year.And all this was from one breeding get together with my male ghost:cool: .My advice to you is get your snakes as healthy as you can then decide in the spring if they are ready to breed or not;) .If you have any other questions let me know.

My cornsnake isn't wild at all. He moves all of the time from hand to hand when I hold him, but he has never been aggressive or unhandlable. He is 2 1/2 months old and when I checked on him tonight found out that he is in blue. This will be his 3rd shed. I adore him and am sorry I waited as long as I did to get one.
