    i want to comment on this even tho is an old post the way i do it i have a tape measurement and a thermometer the ones that you use to stick on the turkey i measure my pythons mid section right now is 1 13/4 and i try to give the right rodent right now im feeding rat pups for my 5 month old ball python and the weight between 23 to 28 g each so i think im ok it works well i make sure the rat is above 85 f at the same time make sure the mouse is not too hot.
