-
hey i live so close to you like 45 minutes i go to Albany all the time we should set up a rally lol right outside the mayors office. Oh and great post mine would be like suck nuts governor and the bat cave door would open.
-
Pataki probably doesn't even KNOW about this bill lol Why call his attention to it ^_-
Seriously. Theres a lot of people out to lose money from this proposed law, so I'm sure the local breeders are already up in arms over it. I'm sure they will also cover it at the next Whiteplains NY Reptile show in a few weeks too.
Pataki: "Hey, these people obviously don't want this law!"
Advisors: "Oh no, no, no, they are just playing hard to get!"
Pataki: "Oh ok, I get it! *signs bill into law*

There is alot more then just us that live in NY were are all the New Yorkers whats your opinion on this.

Yesterday, the proposed Exotic Animal Ban, made the front page of the Times Union, Albany's most prominent newspaper. Some of the stuff in there just seems so rediculous o_O They want to charge 80$ per animal for a permit, and thats only if you owned it before Jan 05 >_< I am so totally getting my BP now in defiance of this stupid law whether it passes or not. Just have to make sure that we never mention we have snakes to the people across the street, the guy is a state trooper >_<
-
even if herps were outlawed here, i've never had much regards for the law. so basically what i'm saying is, you'd have to kill me to get rid of my snakes.
-
VA is crazy conservative...I'm suprised they haven't banned herps already. Mad old farts up in the va gen assembly. I gotta move to cali, thats the only state where the lawmakers don't have huge sticks stuck up thier butts. I mean, dude, the Terminator is the governer....I wanna nominate batman for governer of va.....
-
Elevate, "The Terminator" recently had a proposal that would allow animal shelters and such to kill snakes the day they got them, forgoing the usual week or 2 I think they are required now to keep them. He had to back down due to public outcry...

Oh thats right, there was a post about that on here not too long ago...and I was only being half serious with the california thing anyway.
I'm glad he listened to the public though...thats what was GOOD about that situation. If a group of people in va complained about a bill, they probably wouldn't listen unless that demographic made up a large percentage of their supporting vote- which means they'd have to be 50 years of age and older......bills are rarely toppled if they pass the house in va.
