I would be very curious to hear/see what you think of the Papuan/Olive pythons. I love your Youtube clip describing the dwarfs and super dwarf retics. I really had considered some type of retic but knew size was a big factor. I met the guy from Vital Exotics at a show here in MN and both my daughter and I loved the retic he had.

I think you do a nice job educating people.

I'll keep checking here but I'm usually on the RTB forum. I love boas and retics.

I do not know too much about Papuan and Olive's, some, just not a lot. Size wise, they get fairly large - larger than most of the australian morelie spilotes complex (Mcdoweli, cheynai, harrisoni), and harder to come by. But there is a petition with a research paper going around in Australia right now to open the previous ban that had been placed on the industry, to help get an influx of australian pythons and venomous into the states legally, vice versa, get some of our speciality snakes into australia legally so there is no longer a black market for corn snakes which are techincally illegal to have there.

If you want to go with a larger python species, but not quite a retic, the australian pythons / new guinie pythons are fantastic places to look. And in the next 3 years, we may see a vast rise in what we have here in the states!

I just dig looking at your work. Not many do what you do with the knowledge and confidence you display. If there is ever a tiger retic that stays around 8 feet and isn't too snappy I might be looking.

There are options 75% SD Tigers of fed very slow will definitely stay under 8, heck 6-7 for males!
