    That's some dangerous noodling.

    And this is actually from a sawfish, not a sawshark.

    Ditto to what's already been said, they are critically endangered. I know we have them in FL, but I have never seen one. FL Fish and Wildlife has posters up at boat ramps asking people to report sightings and stuff, though, so they are there.

    River monsters had a sawfish episode... I believe he caught one on hook and line in Australia.

    I love river monsters. That's where my dad knew them from. I must have missed that episode, though. I'll have to go back and find it.

    Sawfish are fascinating and beautiful. They swim very fast into a school of small fish, swing their nose left to right very quickly to wound/stun some fish, then they eat at their leisure. Beautiful creature.

    Hey, if that guy just had it propped up in a corner on top of a stack of lumber maybe you can offer him 20 bucks for it and see what he says? Maybe he doesn't care and just wants to get rid of it. If I had something like that it would be hanging on my wall.

    Agreed! I'd just make sure it's legal to own first :)
