    Ideally, you put them out to thaw in the fridge before you lay them out to room temp so that may cut your time down.

    I use a a ziploc bag filled with hot water. Then crack the bag, pour the water out, feed the snake. Really simple, mess free. Bag can be re used, so really cheap too.

    I usually lay em out on paper towels overnight.

    And I never heat my dead rats up, just feed at room temps. Everyone takes em, and I've never had any issues.

    I use the baggie and water method. Jumbo rats take up to 2 days to thaw in the fridge. The rats go in a freezer bag, and are dry when they come out as long as their claws don't puncture the bag.

    I put the rats in a small, dark rubber container to thaw in the fridge overnight then take them out and set on the counter for an hour or so to reach room temp then hit them with a hair dryer briefly before offering. Works like a charm for me and no wet rat smell in the house.
