Those aren't any more accurate...

None that I have seen or heard of have much better that +\- 4 also why I encourage they only be used as back up. A $20 ir gun used twice a day <or 10 if you happen to be a paranoid worry wort.> will give you a lot of peace of mind.

What is your thermostat set at? Really that is the most important thing you MUST have so you are good there. The Acurite at Wally World is $12.00... Mow the lawn? Wash a car or two?
