I haven't really watched Animal Planet in years. I used to watch it all the time back when the Crocodile Hunter was on and I used to like watching Animal Cops. The original one I never got into any of the spin offs. All this new "reality" crap they have had on the last few years doesn't interest me at all.

Yeah, I definitely miss the old documentaries. Whenever I couldn't think of anything else to turn on, (being a kid who wasn't a TV wizard, this was almost every time I watched TV) I would turn on Animal Planet. God, I LOVED it! I would end up watching Animal Planet's animal documentaries more often than I watched cartoons or anything else. It was the lighter fluid of my burning passion for animals. Now, Animal Planet has turned "surprisingly human," with either reality TV shows, sometimes not even relevant to animals, or shows depicting animals as monstrosities, especially exotic pets or zoo animals.
I do, however, wonder if a petition could revive the good ole' days... On the bright side, NatGeo wild seems to have taken the place of showing said documentaries; I'd even watch 'Python Hunters' up to the point they ran out of pythons in the everglades to capture. (That show was actually good- the hosts are major people in our hobby and did what they could to discern people's fears on national television!)

And this is news why? These types of shows are always faked either partially or completely.
