Used to play: Trumpet and Violin

Currently play around with: Acoustic and electric guitars, bass, keyboards, drum set, and tablas. Music is cool! Plus the ladies love it. :)

and Will dude as far as I am concerned scratching is an instrument dude - all it takes is rythm to do it but to be good (i.e. DJ logic, DJ Shadow, Mix Master Mike) you really have to have an ear for stuff like melodies and backbeats and beat matching and stuff it's crazy. I've played around with tables before but it's really hard to be good. Sort of like bass - it's easy to play but REALLY hard to be Good at.

Where do you live? Need tips on starting a band? I'm a minor in music business and in high school formed played in and recorded a CD with a band. Though I don't play much anymore I'd LOVE to talk to anyone who wants about it - the music business, recording sessions, recording gear, publishing, copyright law etc. (I was an audio engineer for a while too but only at a basic level)

Well my dad knows alot of about music. A WHOLE lot. He does recording and such. And right now I'm in the process of moving. Right now I'm in Michigan, but I will soon be moving to Minnesota.

sweet. Go to your local Sam Ash guitar - promise you'll find some freelance musicians if not you can always find a friend who was a cellist and have them learn bass (that's what we did in my first band) because Jack Black says it true....
"what's that thing you were playing?"
    "oh that was a cello"
"okay well bass is exactly the same thing as that but you just turn it on it's side and .... cello! It's a bass!"

I play the flute and the drums.
Have been playing the flute since 4th grade and the drums since high school.
It was cool back then to be a chick and play drums :) (the 70's)
But I dig the sounds I can make with the flute- Toot Toot!!
