Welcome to the forum!! Awesome snakes; this makes me want to get into some more different types if reptiles...
are the husbandry concerns of the other boas/pythons vastly different from those of BPs??

Not too much. Some require a bit more humidity, and some require slightly different temps, or larger/smaller prey...and room, if you're talking bigger pythons and boas. But they're not too different, care-wise.
