I love it but its not good for snakes so i make sure there tanks are up to par with heat and humidity. Humidity is a pain with a cold house so i got a frogger. Lol

Holy cow between the AC and the UTH's or heat tape running, your electric bill must be insanely high! I keep mine at 78 to cut the electric bill.

The electric bills only 50 bucks a month. I thought it would be higher too sense we have got some more snakes and a pack man frog. We are up to three bps and a frog so far. Lol

The way I took it is that the wife keeps the temps cool, which I totally get! The wife controls all haha

Did it?? I'm sorry, seriously didn't mean it that way. I was just teasing. My grandparents were like that...She kept things icy, and he was a tiny little old man, and would sit in his own living-room in mittens and a vest in July. :P It just reminded me of that, haha.
And it was pretty genuine; I like things toasty!

I think you nailed it with the first sentence. There was nothing wrong with the post.
To the OP, I think you did the right thing sticking them together given the ambient temp of your house. Depending on what caused the short you may want to run things on a surge protector, if you aren't already.

Not to mention to OP made sure they had plenty of places to escape one another, not like they were crammed together.
If the OP didn't have the option of a second tank available - say you only have one BP and the power is out - an alternative is to put the snake into a tub with a lockable lid and ventilation holes on the sides, and put it in the bed with you. It wouldn't be ideal, but it should survive the night.

Re: so mad
I always put something over the top of my uth heaters (especially important if you don't have a thermostat right now) so my snakes are not directly on it, and then put substrate over that. For example a piece of slate tile, rubber shelf liner stuff you get at walmart, reptile carpet; something with a slight barrier so the snake can still get heat but not burn himself. Ball pythons don't require overhead lights.
