I agree white, cleaning the top rack surface is a nasty hard task (makes one wonder why they wanted a rack in the first place) seeing it clean and sparkley after hours of work is really nice I would be frusterated if mine were black. If you ever had mites white whould also show them up.
Yes they look grubby after a while. Plastic polish helps but still.
