    Some say sub species and others say species.

    Your right that the variety is not there like it is with balls but pretty cool things are being done. They are wonderful snakes with a much different personality than balls.

    In 2001 the former Curtus family of 3 sub species were promoted to 3 separate species.. Python brongersmai,(red bloods) Python breitensteini, (Borneo python)and Python curtus (Sumatran black python or short tail )
    This post contains Only Python Breitensteini as KMG pointed out..( Thank you KMG)..
    The 2001 paper described only one animal without the sub oculars and stated the labials did not come in contact with the eye..
    Thank you to all, as we get better with the new lens we'll be sure to post more pictures of our addiction..:)

    Not at all, it serves as a compliment.. Find the one you like and use it.. You can find a WHOLE lot more on our serpentim FB page as well as the goings on here..:D
