Best thing I ever did was to get a space heater with a thermostat.

Yea you got it.
You can think about a che so your not mixing red light with the day bulb, not that it will hurt anything. The che over my warm side will be working one year straight next month.

Hey! Great advice! I set things up today the way you suggested; I moved the tank (into the den where there isn't any direct baseboard heating) and got the air temp to hold steady at 81. Thanks for the help :)
