Raspberries are my number 1 most hated food. I keep trying them occasionally to see if I still hate them and I always do. I've even tried to like them, no such luck.

I can't tell if my ability to taste sweets has diminished OR with rising food costs companies are just using alternatives like corn syrup to make things sweet. Either way, some things just aren't as good as they used to be. Things just taste cheaper now.

Recently, I've been very surprised by how sweet things (cake, candy, ice cream) just make my stomach churn before even eating them. Somebody will offer me a piece of cake and I just feel disgusted for some reason. This started maybe a couple months ago. Sometimes I'll accept, but my stomach just seems to reject these things now. I think I went over board with the candy as a child, so now my adult body is just like...."NOOPE! No more of that!"

I'm also less against trying new things. I used to hate sweet peppers, but last week I tried sweet peppers with cream cheese and fell in love! It's a pretty tasty snack.

Eggs. The texture and taste was absolutely disgusting as a child, but now I kind of like them.

I'm told I loved fried okra as a child. Now it just seems slimey and nasty on the inside, but I do love spicy pickled okra! Hot dogs are good drunk food, but otherwise you won't see me eating them (brats all the way!).

I'm weird with eggs. Sometimes i can eat them but other times they really gross me out lol. If i cook them im usually fine. I just dont trust other people haha

I can eat hotdogs if theyre grilled and have plenty of mustard and raw onions on them. Otherwise they gross me out too. I don't like brautwurst either. Kielbasa all the way!

As a kid I used to get grossed out just thinking about sushi. Now I not only like it, hold the rice and the seaweed because I like sashimi better.

As a kid I hated pizza, then I started eating it in college, now it's just kind of meh unless I make it myself with fresh veggies.

From what my 7th grade science teacher told me once, taste buds mature or change every 7 years or so. It's not a sudden change, but gradual. I hated watermelon as a kid, now I can eat a whole watermelon in a day, lol.

I think it's one of life's BEST surprises. I'll use raw Kale as an example. All those years the healthiest part of the salad bar was the decoration, and one of the tastiest too.

I seem to crave well seasoned cuisine such as Indian,Middle Eastern, Thai etc, while finding most fast food too terrible to eat.
