He could simply be a dingbat. Occasionally snakes hatch that are just "not right," but otherwise go on to live reasonably normal lives.
I agree with that. One of my smaller males is like that (the one named "Octavia" cuz I thought he was female.) He is so shy, if a butterfly flaps its wings outside while he's eating, he'll recoil from the rat and curl up for an hour before trying again to swallow it. OK, maybe I am exaggerating a little. But some BPs just seem to be little pansies!
