Weird hatchling

One thing I noticed in a few of those pics is that the hatchlings have very small eyes and large ocular scales. Looks like effects of incubation fluctuation to me.

Those are some really cool babies for sure!

Thats what I thought too...unfortunately it would have to be their deceased mom :( the father survived the tragedy and lives on to produce 2 clutches for me with different females and the resulting clutches had no granite markings at all.
