Can't find her anywhere

The big thing is, think SMALL. Stop looking for an 18-24" long snake, because you won't find it. Train your eyes to look for a 2-3" long piece of snake pattern, because 99% of the time, that is all you will see. Think Where's Waldo meets Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiago?

Look under, over, behind between and through, and you'll find her.

Thanks for the advice. I've been gone the last two days and the good news is she pooped in the closet again:O. I can't believe I missed spotting her, at least she's in the room!

    angllady2 I will think smaller. I'm surprised I haven't found her yet.

Look up as well. I live in an unfinished basement currently, and when my BP got out she somehow managed to get up ONTO the water pipes in the ceiling. I still haven't figured out how she got up there, but one day when I was looking for her I just got really frustrated, tilted my head back... and saw her staring at me. I swear she was laughing.

I had one missing for a week, door closed, searched everything, was beginning to think it might have gotten out of the original room, when finally I happened to see a tail disappearing under a storage shelf when I walked in. They can find some really tight spots to hide. I also lost a hatchling cornsnake once, one of my first snakes. I had given up on ever finding it. The whole winter passed, spring came, and one day when I was taking the trash cans to the street, I found it hiding underneath of one. Those are the only two I've lost, but I found both. Good luck, and be patient.

We had one out and the way we caught her is she climbed into my daughters pet mouse aquarium and ate her mouse. It was a white corn snake and a black and white mouse you could see the mouse inside the snake. Now if we have an escapee we put a weanling rat on the floor in a aquarium with a loose lid and the snake usually do its thing. LOL My daughter was traumatized but really loves her snakes not so much mice now.

We just found our one snake after a little over two weeks of being out. We tore the entire upstairs apart several times and did general searches never saw a trace of her. My husband found her last night across the hall in my daughters closet on the floor.

She will turn up. Keep us posted!
