    The other safety thing you can do it get a variable (hard switch) power unit and try max temp on the various settings and only use the one that will just go over what you need. There is not going to be a need to heat a room to 100ºF ever so using a lower power unit that will only do 85º adds a safety margin.

    The heater I'm currently using has a knob with settings 1,2,3,4,5 instead of low, med, high or even a digital read out.
