I wanted to breed ball pythons after seeing my first one in a shop, the good thing is you will always want one more. :colbert:

^ This. I knew I wanted "just a pair" the moment I saw a sample of a friend's collection (THANKS, DEBORAH!!). I had 4 within 60 days, and it's been exponential since then.

I got my first snake with no intention of breeding. Within the first month of getting her, I wanted a second. I must have gotten my second snake within 3 months of the first. At that time I didn't have any immediate breeding plans, but it was something I was interested in down the road.

Flash forward to almost 5 years later. This is my first season and I am expecting 3 clutches. I now have over 30 snakes (some are not ball pythons) and I love it. I really do. I wish this could be my full time job! The genetics are never ending and even though I haven't had my babies pip yet, I know that the experience will never get old! I can't imagine not having these animals in my life. I know they aren't for everyone, but they are surely for me!!
