Thank you. The male that I purchased from the same breeder at the same time seems perfectly okay. I drop her off at 7am for her necropsy. I have exams to take so I most likely won't be present for the necropsy.

    2012 female blood died unexpectedly
I just dropped her off that the vet, and made sure they wrote down that I wanted her tested for IBD, parasites, and anything that could be contagious and spread to the rest of my collection.

They will be calling me later with the results.

They just called me and are about to begin the necropsy. They wanted to call and make sure I understood that testing for IBD would probably run another 80-150 in addition to the necropsy costs. The doctor is trying to find a lab that does that testing so I should find out more in a few hours.

    2012 female blood died unexpectedly
Other than her having almost zero body fat he said everything looked healthy.

She was in my possession for 4 weeks
    Week 1: refused
Week 2: took live rat pup
Week 3: live rat pup again
    Week 4: refused

That eating schedule and refusals didn't seem like anything to be alarmed about. Especially since she still had a nice chubby blood body (while she was still alive). I contacted the breeder and am inquiring about her eating and such before she came home to me.

She hatched out between May and July of last year. She was under 200 grams when I got her, and weighed 120 grams after she passed. I didn't weigh her in between because I do monthly weigh ins and she seemed to be growing fine.

I declined the IBD test. No other animals in qt are showing any symptoms or weight loss.

That's just crazy! I'm sorry for your loss. Guess it's a mystery.

Nearly a year old And only 120g?? That seems extremely extremely underweight. Bloods are very thick and heavy bodied, much heavier than balls and 120g at a year old for a ball is extremely small. I had a blood and at a year old was several times that weight without being overweight.
And the fact that she had no body fat =/ that sounds like a very malnourished blood
