    It could be the substrate, but its hard to say for sure. You could always try all Cypress or the coarser coconut husk (sounds like you have the really fine stuff). Is the top of your terrarium screen? If it is, you might try covering as much of it as you can with foil to hold in the humidity. Unfortunately, you are probably going to have a constant battle with the humidity. That's a huge terrarium, so you will have to use lamps to heat it, but the lamps really dry things out.
