what if they are around other rats for scent? and will the males gett protective over females? i have one not sure if she prego but he jus stratred being so protective and she startedx breathing hard today

What I wondered, why can't you get Mazuri? You can order it straight from their website, http://www.mazuri.com/ratandmouse.aspx. It's cheap, I only pay $59 shipped to my door for 2 50lbs bags of the 6F. One 50lbs bag will last you forever with such a small breeding setup. I'm not sure if you emailed them if they could sell a smaller amount?
