    What's the going record for a BP fast? 18 months? :P Unless he's losing weight quickly (not holding relatively steady except for dips after pooping/shedding) then just wait him out. He's probably off feed for the breeding season it's totally normal.

    If you go to Walmart you can buy a digital kitchen scale that weighs grams kilos and pound/ounces upto 5000 grams (about 11lbs) by mainstay for $20 it is very accurate I've compared it's readings with our professional digital scale at work and use it for my snakes myself.

    I hope so. It has shed one time, and defecated only once since I've had the animal.

    I use a digital infrared temp gun (checked twice/day), as well as the in tank thermometer. No thermostat on this one, just a rheostat.
