Regiusloki, mine did the same thing for the first 2 months or so but the difference already is night and day. When I open his cage he "runs"....but doesn't hide any more.

He's 7 or 8 months old and was out exploring my living room (supervised of course) the other day. He was determined to get into my girlfriends purse (which I'm sure smelled like mice because she works at a lab full of them!) and after picking him up and pulling him away from it a few times, I swear he turned and gave me the "Dude, there's food over there" look....and just kept trying. I eventually just let him climb in hoping he didn't poo.

Sometimes I can't help but think they DO have some things in common with humans (emotionally at least). My girl likes to stretch up on her doors and wave her body back and forth like windshield wipers. She'll keep switching doors until somebody takes her out. Or feeds her.

I know, I do the same thing. I am sure that our first snake absolutely loves me! He is so docile and sweet. He is never afraid of anything and as soon as I open his enclosure he climbs right up my arm, he really seems to like just hanging out with me..

My little girl has a different personality though, she is feisty! But once she deigns to allow me to pick her up she relaxes and explores.
