    v70 rack or pvc enclosure for single ball python?
    oh ok thats a good idea. if i move it closer to underneath the center of the rhp maybe it will read higher. should these rhps adequately heat one of these cages? the guy i got the cage from (fck reptiles) said i should be fine without a heat pad. i know if this cage were 4x2x2 theres no way it would be anywhere near what i want. my room temp is usually about 70 deg F

    How many watts is the rhp? I have a cool room as well a shorter enclosure but have for the most part been able to keep surface temps. On cool nights it drops too cool.

    What color is the enclosure? Radiant heat reflects from light objects.

    Uth are more efficient they heat where you need it cost less to buy and run. They are both radiant heat and have a similar effect on air temps, next to nothing. (3-5 degrees) Rhps work best with arboreal enclosures uth terrestrial.
