SK vs Jolliff vs VPI?

Thanks guys! Anyone have any comparisons of adults VPI vs. SK? I don't really know of any VPI axanthic breeders to look into.

JD- I can't wait to see your hatchlings this summer. You're the only breeder I know of that works so extensively with the axanthic gene.

I'm very excited for this season as well. I'm waiting on my first axanthic eggs yet but it does look like I should have a few axanthic combos this season. My usual worry is that I don't end up making many regular axanthics, but that's a good problem to have I guess.

Agreed. VPI hands down. They hold their colors the best. Markus Jayne has done some breedings and found the different lines to be not compatable.

Alright thank you. Can you guys name a few VPI axanthic breeders for me to take a look at?

I've purchased a few animals from the below breeders and have been very happy with the quality. These guys are all great to work with and only produce VPI axanthics (as far as I know). Best of luck in finding something!

As far as I know the three lines are not compatible. Personally I'd be a little leary to cross them myself, you'd probably end up with a bunch of double hets which when bred together would produce axanthics, but you'd have difficulty in determining which line of axanthics you actually produced and then what would you tell your customers? Just ask any leopard gecko breeder about cross the three lines of albinos that they have (then put on your flame resistant underwear before the response) ;)

I did pick up a Jolliff female about a year ago (Garrick DeMeyer has them). They're not as bold of an example of Axanthism as the other two lines but they do tend to have a more banded pattern. I thought they'd go well with other naturally banded morphs like the Enchi's

I decided to go with VPI simply because there were more available to chose from, and thus a bigger market share of potential future buyers for any future offspring. That said, I've gotten quite a few compliments about my girls lack of brown-out.

I have a het joliff pair that I hoping to prove out ( and see if I got a really lucky break since the ay are possible het for snow as well ( only slightly) I also I have a vpi axanthic that is het for snow who will be breed to out albino once she of size,
