As was stated before a small amount of blood from the vent area during/after shed is perfectly fine.

I'll be the 4th to say, it's not unusual to see a bit of blood when shedding from the vent area. Your snake is fine.

Your snake is fine. Itīs not abnormal at all and if you were keeping your BP on newspaper the same would happen, it would even be more obvious as you would find blood smears on the newspaper.

Little bit of blood from the vent at shed is fine, and normal. No need to worry.

Hey buddy, don't tell me that I'm incorrect... If you would have read the snake has blood near its neck on the shed not its vent... Last time I checked none of my snakes bleed when they shed... So don't tell my I'm incorrect cause intact you're incorrect.

I'm going to be the 100th person to chime in and say it's normal around the vent. I don't know why other members were saying otherwise.
They're pretty rough on themselves during shed.

Just because your snakes don't bleed when they shed (which they probably do from time to time) does not make this fellow incorrect. I see drops of blood with almost every shed. It is very common and completely normal. Sometimes they might get blood on other parts of the shed because they bleed from the vent, the last part to shed.

You are the one who said it was not normal, when in fact it is completely normal!! So, by that statement alone, yes you are INCORRECT.

I don't think you understand how shedding works. When they bleed from the vent, the drops of blood get on other pieces of the shed. So you could see drops of blood anywhere on the shed.

It is still completely normal and yes, I can read.

    You need to calm down.
