New Tiger Jag Coastal Python
The cork screw and head flipping doesn't sound good.
I would let her settle in still and see if it gets better. I don't know if it comes out more in times of stress.
The growth rate on my Coastal girl was nuts.

I have never "power fed" her. She eats once a week. A meal that leave a very little lump.
They seem more aware of what's going on compared to BPs for sure.
I hope she is just stressed a bit and will calm down in a few days.
Keep us updated.

So let say after a few days I still see the corkscrewing and head flipping... what would you guys do if in my position? I have no plans to breed this girl and I want to focus of breeding ball pythons
I'm not sure of she was under fed.
I have a male Coastal that's not putting on size as quick as her.
When I get home ill look at my records and give you an idea of size they both have out on over the year.
I'm not sure what I would do in your position.
The breeder might just be hiding the fact that he already knew but I would let him know what's going on. Maybe send a video. Just in case he really doesn't know.

Right now enjoy it but don't waste your money on a pod arboreal tank with lots o branches. It won't really use them at all. Might slither through them a little but won't perch on tem when an adult. A waste of space really becuse it will basically be a ground dweller when full grown.
As for the "spins" or "spiners" as I know some people call them, it can make their lives harder at times. So have a lot of trouble eatting becuse of them. I know a guy with a 4 year old that's the size if a 1 year old just because the spins has given it trouble eatting it's whole life. Some don't have a huge issue beside the fact it moved funny. I am not sure if the spins shortens their lives at all but it could be. It is kinda like a handicapped person. The can live full lives just different lives. The one big thing about them is they are sold a lot cheaper then ones without the spins. If you bough it for a normal jag pice then you got ripped off.
ok i did not realize this i though its like the spider syndrome in balls, they wobble but doesn't affect its health in any other way. I did not purchase it with a "jag issue" discount but he did give me the a different girl than i requested, one that is slightly more expensive and looks brighter than the one i originally had my eyes on.
what exactly is the problem when they eat? i just saw it took the fuzzy down today she didn't even had her mouth on it, try striking but did a little spin instead but manage to strangle it and when i came back the fuzzy is gone.
so the jag issue is on a different calibre than the spider wobble?
New Tiger Jag Coastal Python
It's a neurological issue. I'm sure there are a few cases out there where it effects them enough to have a health decline. Along the same as Spiders.
I'm still hoping it won't come out as much once she settles in.
I didn't know anything about the Jag issue until after I got my girl. So far she has never showed any signs of have a "wobble" or problem.
Another Jag issue. If you breed Jag x Jag all the supers or BELs will be still born or die soon after they hatch.
Good luck with her and keep us updated.
