With anything their is a risk. How putting uths on a strip for a good tstat is cheap but buying a $30 tstat is not is not clear to me.
Haha...I retract my previous statement on buying a Hydrofarm! Nah...I'll probably order the Herpstat 2 and Hydrofarm, hook the Hydrofarm up to the Skink's enclosure and see how it goes. She's not a burrower and there's a good inch or two of substrate between her and the bottom of the enclosure, so I'm not worried about burns. Her temps are already okay, I just wanted to add the UTC as supplemental heat. I'll also trying hooking her UTC up to the Herpstat if the Hydrofarm isn't working for me.
