I think it was good to post that - at least for me it put some things in perspective. You can't rescue EVERY animal and as uplifiting as it always is to read about the amazing work that you do, it's easy to forget sometimes that some of these animals don't make it. Your job is incredibly difficult and not all happy endings. Once again thank God (or diety of your choosing) for you and what you do.

At least you put an end to his suffering.
God, I really hate people sometimes. Especially when I watch Animal Cop shows. It burns me up to see people abusing animals. Especially those heartless bass turds who fight pitbulls and roosters.
I am only thankful that people exist who care, and can help those animals who have no voice.

That is sad.... Why would someone do that to an animal? If you dont want it give it to some one who will take care of it!
Im sorry you had to put it down, but im sure you did him a great favor.
I had to explain a few things to a guy at the pet store the other day... I over heard him saying that his girlfriend was going to let him buy a burm because "they only get like 6 ft". UUuuummmm no.

    People are ignorant and harsh.
Thank goodness for people like you Rusty...

I don't have a soul (or at least as an atheist I don't believe I have one), but I would never treat a snake like that :P

Seriously though, it makes no sense to treat an animal like that. Even if you completely set aside compassion, shouldn't you at least protect your investment? I mean, you wouldn't leave a $50 stereo out in the rain, would you? If you had enough interest in the snake to purchase it in the first place, wouldn't you want to make some use of it to appeal to your interest? Not to mention, it's pretty difficult to abuse an animal that badly... I mean, they must've at least remembered to add water to keep that sludge wet didn't they? It just makes no sense...

Some days, you just have to wonder if the civilization of humankind has resulted in reverse natural selection.

Almost everyday I ponder that, how sad...
It's amazing, how hhw wrote about protecting your investment. I have seen 1,000$ horses beaten and abused. Like it was said before, you would think someone would at least protect there investments. It's just sad.
