    Its typical for the species to have a Tan ,yellow or yellow orange head that vary to a degree..The color that runs from the eye back thru the neck also varies in each animal with this being a prime example..

    Their more than sexy or beautiful, :D Their a new reproduceable trait that has occurred in more than one collection.. 3 to date, we have the oldest of the bunch and are on the 2nd generation.. Further selective breeding and crossing of the occurrences should bring some more awesome animals in the years to come.. As said by a good friend there's a WHOLE lot of canvas to paint on yet..

    when you say it's reproducible, do you think it's a single dom/co-dom gene or is it a polygenic line-bred thing?

    Creepin, Excellent question that at this point I can not answer, sorry..(compiling data) The 1st occurrence by another breeder was an outcrossing, the 1st occurrence here was also an outcrossing..The animal pictured is the 1st linebred animal of this type.. The genetic passing of traits has long been up in the air when it comes to Python breitensteini..The perplexing python..
