Let's see, I've been bit by a small baby ball python (she was about 250 grams), a smaller brb and a 6-7 ft yellow anaconda. All of which, put together, hurt less than when I get scratched by one of my cats...we make it sound like its nothing because it really is nothing lol. This doesn't mean go sticking your hand in to find out, as you own a ball, its going to happen eventually. All I can say is even if yours doesn't like you touching its head, do it anyway, all mine I have done this with and now they act like a dog when you scratch the right spot, right behind the ear. ;)

This is so true, them dang rats will draw some blood man, and it goes DEEP!!

I concur, the strike is scarier than the pain. I still jump when I'm tong-feeding my boy, and my hand is nowhere near him-- the only time he ever tagged me though, it honestly felt like I got my finger slightly stuck in a zipper. Not bad at all. I was sort of all smiles, actually, 'cause it's gonna happen some time, so you gotta have that "first bite" lol

I got my first "nip" a couple weeks ago. It got my adrenaline flowing super hard. I was excited that it finally happened. And at the same time I was disappointed that it left two tiny punctures that were so small I couldn't photo it to post here. Guess I'm not in the club yet. :)

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who sort of enjoyed the experience! :gj:

nothing to worry about really, i have been tagged by a few different reptiles. the difference in the pain is if it was just a nip, or they hit and wrapped thinking your food. although both are not bad the hit and wrap can hurt though.

I've been bitten by an almost five foot female BP and an 11" Tokay Gecko... The Tokay Gecko bite hurt a lot more.

I promise that you have nothing to worry about.

I have been bit by hamsters, mice, rats, full out attacked by a cat, aggressive bite by a dog, mildly venomous spider.

I have a medium sized tattoo and many piercings.

ALL of those hurt WAY worse than a bite by a ball python!

My very first tag by a BP was 2 weeks ago and I got it right between the fingers.

I can promise you that I didnt even feel the bite LOL I heard him strike and didnt feel anything. I didnt realise I was bit until I saw the blood out of the corner of my eye.

So yah its so minuscule that most bites you dont even notice.
